Anne Digby is an industry leader and expert in natural medicine and Women's Health. She is dedicated to improving the health and fertility of women and couples, not only in Australia but worldwide. She has been providing treatment and advice to couples with fertility issues since the early 1990s and has thousands of success stories. Many beautiful, healthy babies have been born as a result of Anne's herbal and nutritional treatments and some are pictured in the testimonial pages.
Anne Digby is a highly qualified and experienced naturopath and herbalist, who is currently undertaking a Masters in Reproductive Medicine at UNSW and has specialised in all aspects of Women's Health since 1994. She is also a qualified midwife and her focus is on supporting women throughout pregnancy, childbirth and early parenting, in an holistic manner.
Anne has been associated with the IVF program since 1983. During the late 1980s and early 90s, she worked with Professor Carl Wood (the "Grandfather" of IVF) for 6 years, simultaneously studying naturopathy. Her focus has always been on Women's Health and fertility. Anne spent considerable time in theatre with Professor Wood and was also responsible for editing the video recordings of laparoscopic surgery to use as training videos for surgeons.
In 2005, Anne studied a Bachelor of Midwifery at ACU and is now a registered midwife. She has a Masters degree in International Public Health from Monash University and has a special interest in reducing maternal mortality in developing countries, in particular in Nepal.
Endometriosis Care Centre of Australia (ECCA)
In 1996 the Endometriosis Care Centre of Australia (ECCA) was established by Professor Carl Wood, Associate Professor Peter Maher and Dr Jim Tsaltas. ECCA provides wholistic medical, surgical and allied health care for women with endometriosis. Anne has been the consultant naturopath to ECCA since its inception. ECCA acts as a specialist referral centre and clinics have now been established Australia wide providing treatment, as well as education, on about this disease that affects up to 20% of women in Australia. Anne has contributed many articles to IVF Friends (Monash IVF Support Group Newsletter), Endometriosis Association newsletter and Melbourne IVF support group newsletter. She has also been a guest speaker at various seminars on Endometriosis at Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne, on Infertility at Melbourne IVF and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) at Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne for the PCOS Support Group. Some of her articles have been published overseas.
Anne is a full member of Australian Naturopathic Practitioners Association (ANPA) and Australian College of Midwives Inc. She is a practicing midwife, registered with the Nurses Board of Victoria and has provider numbers with all major private health insurance funds covering naturopathy.
